HIRING PROCESS

We know that every family is unique. Your choice of a nanny and your ongoing relationship with them is completely personal – but at the same time it’s important to hire a professional and start off on the right foot. North Shore Nannies is here to help you do that. Plus, we’ll be here with advice and support throughout the hiring process and beyond.

Here’s what you can expect from us as we help you move through this most important process. We will:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of your needs.
  • Present only those candidates that come closest to matching your needs.
  • Provide support throughout the interviewing process.
  • Make the placement process as efficient and effective as possible.
  • Help manage your search and structure your offer based on our understanding of the market place.

Placement Checklist

  1. Complete our Family Placement Questionnaire
  2. Schedule a phone consultation. We’ll be in touch within 24 hours to schedule a call. We’ll go over the details of your search, learn what’s most important to you to see in candidates and who will be the best match for your family in both experience and caregiving style.
  3. Complete our Referral Agreement. Once the intake call is complete and you’ve decided to engage us for your nanny search, we’ll send you the agreement through Eversign so that you can submit it securely.
  4. We’ll engage all of our professional resources to pull together a group of candidates who come closest to meeting your needs. These will likely include candidates who have already completed our screening process as well those recruited specifically for your family.
  5. You’ll review candidate profiles and choose those you’d like to interview. We’ll schedule and confirm the interviews for you and follow up afterwards. Click here for more detailed information on our suggested interview process and some helpful tips.
  6. Finalize an offer and employment agreement. We can share sample agreements and provide suggestions for structuring your offer to help get your relationship with your new nanny off to the right start.
